Weekend Ketchup

Friday
...over the river and through the woods....

I was supposed to go out of town today for a State Conference for my campus group. However, because of advancing technology most of the would-be Conference attendees did their competitions online.

Downside?
I don't get to meet other members from around the state.

Upside?
I didn't have to get up at 3 AM to go out of town.
I didn't have to cover-up/remove my nose ring.

...to grandmother's house we go....

Today is my grandmother's birthday. I get to go to her party at the casino! Since I don't drive, I have to get a ride because the casino is in the next city. So I call my cousin to get a ride, and she says I should meet her at her house. No problem. I just have to walk over there.

There are railroad tracks that run near my house. We often cross those tracks while on our way to various places. Even though they put a new fence near the school, I figured that the gate would be open. WRONG. The gate was locked. So I had to go back up to the tracks and decided to continue following the tracks because they turn towards Cuzzin's house.

Almost a bad idea. I almost got stuck up there. So I called Baby Girl to find out if she knew where I was supposed to go. I learned something that day. Never ask her for directions. Luckily, the building where I did an internship is there and I knew there was an access road behind it. Now I just had to find a hole in the fence. I finally found one. There is a huge rose bush in front of it. Only one teeny scratch on my hand from the thorns.

Dinner at the buffet: $15
Gambling money: $25
Spitball war with your cousins: Priceless

S A T U R D A Y...

I went to class. Nothing exciting there.

I got home, dropped off my bookbag then went to lunch with Aunt S. DNA Sponsor doesn't want anything to do with his own family, so I was a bit worried terrified when she pulled up and he was outside smoking. We went to Chili's and oh man - that was the best damn burger I've had in a while! I had the Southern Smokehouse Bacon Cheeseburger. Those Southwestern eggrolls are pretty damn good too! Then we did some shopping at Wally World (I know, I know, bad for american business)

NIGHT!!

Something happened tonight that hasn't happened in a loooooooooong time. Date night!! M and I went out to the local corner bar (which is dive, but hey it's date night!) We had a few beers, and played a few games of pool.

Unfortunately, it seems that I am not enough for M on date night. He had to call MasterPesa and told him to come on down to the bar. Sigh. While he is a riot to be around, I really was hoping that it would be just me and M. So, make lemonade.

Pesa gets a bit loud and hyper. While playing pool, he shot a few balls off the table and the cue ball rolled into the corner. Pesa found a coffin in the back corner, which he promptly climbed into. No one has any idea why it's back there. So they get bored with playing pool, and we head over to the bar. Where we immediately start throwing peanut shells at each other. :) I have no idea what time we got home. I do remember taking a picture of ground chicken though.

Get it? Ground Chicken? Bwa Ha Ha!!

Sunday

We woke up at noon. My poor cat tried several times to wake me up early because he wanted milk.

He even sat on my head.

I tried to make it a lazy day, but the law says I have to feed the kiddles so we went food shopping. I got a rice cooker!! And tons of fruits and veggies, soy milk, yogurt and good stuff to munch.

I still haven't done my papers....

I didn't do it.

Part 2 of the paper is due on the 31st.
I didn't do it.

I have a 4 page paper due today.
I didn't do it.

I have a five page maximum book report, with affidavit due on April 1.
I didn't do it.

I have a 4 page paper (that was assigned well over a month ago) due on April 5.
Guess what? I didn't do it.

I'm just not feeling the whole going to class and writing papers right now. Never fear, I'll do my writing and get it over with.

TMI Tuesday #128

1. Stubble... good or bad? How often do you shave?
Rugged looking stubble on a guy looks great. Just don't try to cuddle up to him.
Stubble on a girl... BAD!
I have the great genetic luck of being half Native American, and we don't seem to have a lot of body hair. However, the other half of my genetic muttness provides some hair for me. When I shave, it lasts a while, so I don't have to shave that often. Maybe once every three weeks to a month.

2. If someone shoves you up against a wall while kissing you, your reaction is?
That depends on the someone. If it's someone I would enjoy kissing, then I fully enjoy myself. If it's someone that I don't know, then I hit them.

3. Did you ever own a fake ID?
Nope. I have my own creative ways of getting things.

4. Have you ever played a game which may require you or others to disrobe?
Yes. It's a blast to play Strip Truth or Dare.

5. Have you ever had sex in the snow? Rain?
Neither. Didn't we answer this one already? I'll have to go back and check my answers...

Bonus (as in optional): Tell us about your last boyfriend/girlfriend?
He was skinny, had curly black hair, and was a sweetheart until he got what he wanted from me. Then he turned into Major Asshole. He even thought that my son might have been his because a buddy of his said he was the father. I took him to my prom in June of one year. My son was born December the next year. No mathemetician there.

Weekend Ketchup - Long post!!

Tuesday
Aloha!

Every semester, my campus group runs the campus Spirit day festivities. Because no one challenged my choice of a luau, that's what we did. The smarter thing would have been to have a St. Patty's day celebration because all kinds of green stuff was on sale. :(

Anyway, it turned out great! I arrived on campus around 8 AM, with kiddles to help setup (I had to bribe them). We usually have a $500 budget. This semester, we used around $300. I ordered decorations from Oriental Trading, Party City and various Dollar Stores.

Here's some pics of the room we decorated. In the few weeks before the event, I got together with a few of the members and painted a few palm trees, and hibiscus.

Don't laugh at my really bad drawing skills. I'm out of practice! (okay, you can laugh!!)

By the time I got home, I was so exhausted. Yet I couldn't get to sleep. Don't you hate that?

Wednesday

My knees and feet are killing me!! We had a quick meeting, one person showed up. Luckily, there were more people in the evening, so we picked the 50/50 raffle winner. She won $50 bucks!!

Thursday
Happy Spring!

I thought it was supposed to be spring?

I didn't get a chance to celebrate Ostara, we didn't color any eggs or setup my altar... (isnt this one pretty?) Sometimes I feel like I'm so bad at this thing called Life...

Friday

6:55 AM. Where is my bus? He's never this late... WTF. my first bus broke down
So I called off sick. No one else was up when I got home, so I scanned a few things out of a library book that has to be returned on Monday.

M wakes up and decides that he wants to go out for lunch and shopping. We decided to give IHOP another try. They did good this time, except for one teeny tiny thing. The waitress hands us the bill and tells us "You can pay at the table." Then she disappears. I wanted to finish shopping because I started feeling sick, achey and tired. Which meant I really was sick. I can't find that waitress anywhere. So I find the next available server and ask him to take care of it. He walks away, mumbling something about finding our server. WTF. Why can't he just fucking do it? I don't fucking feel good. GET BACK HERE YOU ASS!

I finally took a nap. I felt much better.

Saturday

Boring day, I just went to class and didn't do much else.

Although, there seemed to be a bit of tension in the air. I don't know if M is feeling like I'm not spending enough time with him or what, but he seems a bit snarky today. The last time we went for dinner, I tried shrimp (which is NASTY) and I made a comment that it was "spongy". Baby Girl later informed me that this seemed to upset Aunt J.

M, could you kick me if I try something and make a face?
Why would I do that? I don't control what you do or say.
Oh, so you want me to piss off everyone in your family then?

It's not the first time that I've said something innocently and pissed off a female in his family. The first time, I asked his mother why she put green peppers in everything. That was STUPID. NEVER ask your mother-in-law why she ever does ANYTHING.

Sunday

We went to Aunt F's house for dinner. We had ham, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and asparagus. For dessert, there was strawberry shortcake! And I kept my mouth shut.

TMI Tuesday #127

1. In the midst of a hangover have you ever promised to "never drink again?" How long until you broke that vow?
I've only promised to never drink again the first time I got drunk. Now I just drink "responsibly".

2. What is the stupidest thing you have ever done while drinking (or not if it is really stupid) but thought it seemed like a good idea at the time?
I apparently don't need to drink to do stupid things. The one really, really stupid thing I did was to cross the railroad tracks carrying my 10 speed bike. I knew the train was coming, so I ran up the little hill just before the tracks. What I didn't know was that there was a second train coming from the other direction.

3. On a scale of 1-10, where do you rate green beer?
Never had it, so I guess a 1. Usually, I associate freen things on food/drink to be a science experiment that's been started in the fridge.

4. Have you ever kissed someone you shouldn't have (drunk or sober)?
Sort of.

5. What is the stupidest thing you have ever seen a drunk do (besides driving a car)?
The stupidest thing I've ever seen a drunk do is not eat. We hosted a luau a few years back and one of M's oldest friends said he would help out by doing the barbequeing. We were so busy mingling and making sure things were running smoothly that we failed to notice that he wasnt eating. He wound up having a military flashback. The police were called and he was taken to the hospital. One main thing we didnt know was that he wasn't supposed to be drinking liquor, his mother told us when we called her to let her know he had been taken to the hospital.

Then shortly after that, my sister-in-law (MegaLush) decided to act up. I asked her to leave, then she decided she had beer muscles. We got into a physical fight.

That was the greatest party I ever hosted!!

Bonus (as in optional): How do you cure your hangover(s)?
We call it "hangover soup". Basically, it's just macaroni and stewed tomatoes. Also take 2 tylenol right before you go to sleep. Then take a nice hot shower when you wake up and Voila!! No hangover!

Happy St Pattys Day!!

I swear I saw a leprechaun today on the bus!! He was not too short, but had the classic red hair and beard! I tried to follow him to find his treasure, but he got off the bus and went in the opposite direction from me. (I had to come to work)
